A Fine Art graduate from Elam Fine Art School, Sian Faber paints ‘Movement with Drama’ and her topics range from waves, surfers, swimmers & whales... to
fast-action bodies in motion.
Inspiration for Siani’s work is drawn directly from her life and interests.
As a Remedial Masseur and Pilates Teacher for over 20 years (with clients such as Miranda Kerr & Kristy Hinze-Clark), Sian has detailed knowledge of the moving
body, as seen through her dance studies - inspired by her friendship with the Sydney Dance Company & prima ballerina, Darcey Bussell.
Living on Bondi Beach for two decades spawned her Ocean Series, capturing her love of Bondi, waves, surfers, whales & swimmers.
On both paper and canvas, Sian works in water media because “using water to paint water makes sense. But it’s also very demanding, as immediacy & dynamism are
required to capture the fluidity of movement.
” Fortunately, though, this is a painting style that is perfectly suited to ‘painting at the speed of dance.’
